About

I am an independently licensed mental health counselor in New Mexico (Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, LPCC). I earned my Master of Arts in Counseling and Art Therapy at Southwestern College in Santa Fe in 2012.

From a young age, I felt drawn to supporting others through challenging times. I discovered early on that my gift is helping people feel heard, seen, and validated in their experiences. Even as a child, I was the person strangers would approach on the bus or in a crowd to share their stories. Over time, that natural ability to listen deeply and hold space for others grew into my life’s work as a therapist.

Today, I bring both my professional training and my lived experience to create a safe, compassionate space where clients can explore what’s weighing on them, reconnect with themselves, and discover new ways to move forward.

Technique

My approach is humanistic and integrative, shaped not only by professional training but also by my own lived experiences. Art has been a transformational medium in my life, and from an early age I experienced firsthand the healing power of creative expression. Because of this, I often incorporate art therapy when it feels supportive.

In addition to art therapy, I draw on a variety of evidence-based techniques to support your unique needs. For example, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) can help bring awareness to unhelpful beliefs, thought patterns, or behaviors that may be keeping you stuck.

I also take a holistic view of mental health, recognizing that well-being is influenced by many factors, including relationships, career, family, expectations, environment, nutrition, movement, and sleep. With this in mind, I integrate tools from my additional trainings in yoga and nutrition to support your goals and create a path toward balance and healing.

Process

We’ll begin with an intake session where I’ll take time to listen to your story, what you’ve been experiencing, and what feels most important to you right now. Together, we’ll identify your goals for therapy and create a plan that feels realistic, supportive, and tailored to your life and needs.
